All universities and other state organisations are required to collaborate with external parties, such as other universities, other organisations and society at large.

GOArt collaborates with many universities and other state institutions. Chalmers University of Technology has been an important research partner in several projects. The Swedish National Heritage Board and the Church of Sweden are both obvious partners in organ projects in Sweden. Open Houses, guided tours and concerts have opened up GOArt for the public, as well as presentations for local science festivals, radio and television programs, and articles from the local university paper to international magazines like New York Times, Nature and Newsweek.

The Göteborg International Organ Academy – a non-profit association supported by the City of Gothenburg – is a good example of collaboration between GOArt, the Academy of Music and Drama, and the Swedish Church.
