Welcoming Hans Davidsson and Niclas Fredriksson to GOArt

[26 Apr 2012] GOArt is pleased to announce that Prof. Hans Davidsson will be formally collaboration with us during 2012 as both Artist in Residence and Guest Researcher. We also welcome Niclas Fredriksson, a long-time research partner of GOArt's who will be working intensively with us on a new inventory of organs in the Linköping diocese.

Legendary Harpsichordist, Organist, And Early Music Champion Gustav Leonhardt Has Passed Away

[17 Jan 2012] It is with deep sadness that we learned that the legendary harpsichordist, organist, and Early Music champion Gustav Leonhardt passed away on Monday the 16th of January, 2012. We at GOArt would like to express our condolences to Professor Leonhardt¿s family, friends, students, and colleagues. We remember with deep gratitude the many contributions that he made to the global development of the organ art, not least in Gothenburg: most memorably his stirring inaugural week performance at the North German Organ in Örgryte New Church in August of 2000. He will be sorely missed.

[22 Dec 2011] Göteborg Organ Art Center (GOArt) was featured in an article in the fourth issue of GU Spegeln for 2011. GU Spegeln (eng. GU Mirror) is a magazine from the University of Gothenburg focusing on the research conducted at the university.
